Today at the Advancing AI event in San Francisco, AMD announced the latest AI and high-performance computing solutions, including the 5th Gen AMD EPYC and AMD Instinct MI325X accelerators and processors, alongside leading customers and partners including Microsoft, OpenAI, Meta, Oracle, Google Cloud and more.
During the keynote below, AMD Chair and CEO, Dr. Lisa Su, showcased multiple new products that are advancing compute capabilities, improving energy efficiency, and providing enterprises and consumers with new AI access.
The key announcements include:
- AMD EPYC 9005 Series processors: Built on AMD “Zen 5” architecture, the new CPUs deliver record-breaking performance and energy efficiency, with initial adoption from Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Supermicro and more.
- AMD Instinct MI325X accelerators: The MI325X accelerators deliver leadership AI performance and memory capabilities for the most demanding AI workloads. Additionally, expected to launch in the second half of 2025, the AMD Instinct MI350 series accelerators based on AMD CDNA 4 architecture, extend AMD Instinct leadership memory capacity and generative AI performance.
- AMD Pensando Salina DPU and the AMD Pensando Pollara 400: Focused on maximizing AI infrastructure performance, the new DPU and AI NIC optimize data pipelines and GPU communication for high-performance, scalable AI systems.
- Ryzen AI PRO 300 series processors: Featuring AMD “Zen 5” and XDNA 2 architectures, Ryzen AI PRO 300 Series deliver leading performance, battery life, and security, already powering the first Microsoft Copilot+ laptops designed for the enterprise.
Additionally, AMD held its first developers conference alongside Advancing AI 2024, featuring luminaries from Microsoft, Cohere, Meta and more, who demonstrated how to leverage AMD software to further an open ecosystem.
