New Report – 66% of Data Leaders Want More Governance and Enhanced Security

Informatica recently published a global report highlighting what senior-level data leaders need for a modern and competitive data architecture. A staggering 86% cite the need for improved data management, efficiency and operational costs as core decision drivers. Scaling AI at the enterprise level requires data management systems to process massive amounts of data accurately. 

Privacy and security remain on the minds of these leaders too: 56% prioritize trends for increased data privacy and security measures in the realms of generative AI, cloud computing and the explosion of data.

Additional key findings include:

  • Optimize data procedures: 66% of data leaders say the most pressing issues for data include aligning with emerging data ecosystems, migrating from legacy data systems and enforcing data governance and security measures.
  • Hybrid delivers more: 37% of data leaders say their companies plan to remain hybrid with on-premises and cloud services.
  • Employ a cloud-centric ecosystem: 33% of data leaders say their companies have a cloud-first environment for data and analytics.
  • Trend-chasing: 28% of data leaders identified the sudden shift in technology trends as a top challenge.
