Bain & Company released their AI Survey results illustrating that businesses are investing heavily in generative AI, with 87% of surveyed companies working with gen AI in some capacity. Business leaders are eager to see results, however, the real value comes from how AI changes what businesses can do. To accomplish this, you need real-world testing and data. Bain has stated they expect a difference in results depending on data quality and the ability to operationalize use cases to meet users’ needs.
As businesses focus on getting value out of gen AI, computer vision AI is already demonstrating its value by swiftly gathering business-relevant data. In retail settings, vision AI enhances checkout experiences, mitigates shrinkage and optimizes store layout for consumers. Thanks to the ability to gather quality data and operationalize customer needs, computer vision AI is seeing success in the retail and grocery industries.
