The NVIDIA® Jetson™ Developer Challenge has combined enthusiasts of new technology with unlimited AI possibilities. 2370 participants from almost 80 countries worked on innovative projects which can change robotics as well as daily life all of us. After 4 months of developing ideas, NVIDIA has chosen the Winners.
The giant company from Silicon Valley challenged developers, engineers, startups and technology enthusiasts from around the world. The aim was to transform robotics, industrial Internet of Things systems, healthcare, security or any other industry using a powerful AI solution and NVIDIA tech. The event was organized by a polish start-up from Wrocław – ChallengeRocket.com.
The Finalists took a flight to Silicon Valley to present their projects to CEOs, executives, and industry peers at the world’s biggest event for GPU innovation and Artificial Intelligence (AI)—the GPU Technology Conference (GTC). In addition participants could win prizes worth 23,000 USD, the best quality NVIDIA TITAN Xp graphics cards, NVIDIA Jetson TX2 development kit and training in the Deep Learning Institute.
And the winner is…
The Grand Prize Award goes to Sim-to-real autonomous robotic control – modular architecture for tackling virtual-to-real problems.
TITUS – autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) focused on inspecting forests to determine areas of possible risk of wildfires receives 2nd Prize. And the 3rd Prize goes to On-UAV real-time detection of storm damage – onsite, real-time processing of UAV video for relief and recovery efforts.

NVIDIA® Jetson™ Developer Challenge Winners
During the Challenge participants used Artificial Intelligence to design creations such as drones detecting sharks or eliminating enemies, systems – for diagnosing diseases among plants, detecting malaria by using images of blood or helping to avoid car accidents. In addition, tech enthusiasts created devices for sorting wastes and monitoring water status.
