Google Cloud Dataproc, a managed Hadoop MapReduce, Spark, Pig, and Hive service that allows users to easily process big data sets at low costs, is now generally available. Recently, Cloud Dataproc added several important features including property tuning, VM metadata and tagging, and cluster versioning. It is capable of integrating with other Google Cloud Platform services, such as Cloud Storage, Cloud Bigtable, and BigQuery.
