Infobright Selected to Power Trendit’s Cutting-Edge Population Analytics Capabilities

Infobright_logoInfobright, the database analytics platform for the Internet of Things (IoT), announced its partnership with Trendit, the provider of cutting-edge technology for real-time monitoring of population movement, trend analytics and crowd behavior. Trendit will use Infobright’s Enterprise Edition (IEE) to power the company’s dynamic analytics capabilities that provide accurate and sufficient information for representing crowd behavior for entire populations.

IEE provides a scalable infrastructure to aid Trendit’s patented technology in offering instant and extremely accurate analytics in real-time. IEE will allow Trendit to provide historical analysis on larger data sets.  Infobright’s scalable architecture will enable Trendit to merge individual networks together to power smart city activities including population estimations, alerts and predictions for security organizations, urban planning, marketing campaign targeting and analysis, and more. The information Trendit provides was previously only available through censuses and surveys, but is now available to Trendit’s customers almost instantaneously.

With the growing quantity of data we must process and analyze for our customers, it was extremely important for Trendit to find a solution that gave us the ability to compress data, while being able to deploy the technology both on premise and on the cloud,” said Benny Saban, Trendit CEO. “As we continue to expand, knowing that Infobright will grow and scale up with us will help us provide our clients with valuable real-time and historical data analysis as we increase the types of queries we can process.”

Lack of storage issues forced Trendit to reduce the amount and types of data stored on its systems. With the new partnership, Trendit is able to store data for longer periods of time and improve the quality and performance of queries.

Trendit’s work in the population trend analytics has exciting implications for smart cities and the Internet of Things,” said Don DeLoach, CEO and President of Infobright. “The sheer volume of big data needed to power smart cities, and the forces coming together to create the different elements of a complete smart city infrastructure, demands a big change in business operations and strategy. We are excited to be a trusted partner to Trendit, whose technology is linking all kinds of industries together to change the very world we live, work, and play in.”
