Data Science 101: Excel Tutorial on Analyzing Large Data Sets

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

For all you data science neophytes out there who are still using Excel for your data analysis needs, here is a simple resource to stretch your Excel knowledge to embrace bigger data. Our friends over at Udemy partnered with data scientist David Taylor (specialist in data spelunking and visualization) to create a fun (and free) Excel tutorial on analyzing large data sets.  It’s called “Baby Boom,” and teaches folks beginner and intermediate Excel skills while helping them uncover insights in the US Social Security names database (see animated GIF below). Udemy tells us their engineering and data science teams are obsessed with insideAI News and all the resources we push out on a daily basis, so we’re eager to pass along their new resource as a beginning Data Science 101 tutorial. Enjoy!
