Latest Alteryx Analytics Platform Extends the Value of Every Data Source
Highlights of this release include:
-
Data Blending for Hadoop, Google BigQuery and Excel. Analysts now expect to be able to use data directly from any source. Alteryx 9.1 provides analysts with the ability to directly access data from the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), blend it with other sources, perform advanced analytics, and then write enriched data back to it. Access to Hadoop data using HIVE is also enhanced with a faster connector. The latest version of Alteryx Analytics also enables analysts to blend data from Google BigQuery with any other source of data. In addition, analysts can blend Excel data with other data sources at speeds up to 10 times faster than before using the new Alteryx connector.
-
Enriched Tableau Support. Analysts can now append blended data to existing Tableau TDE files, to easily update previously created files, reducing the effort required to create and maintain Alteryx fueled Tableau visualizations. The newly updated Alteryx Visual Analytics Kit for Tableau delivers new samples and content that make it even easier for new Alteryx and Tableau users to get value in hours, not the weeks of alternative solutions.
-
Predictive Analytics for Every Data Analyst. Alteryx Analytics adds seven new predictive tools, which deliver advanced modeling including neural networks and machine learning techniques with no coding required. This version also has updates to existing predictive tools including improved capabilities for Time Series A/B testing.
The power of data analytics has been discovered by businesses and organizations, and people are being asked to go deeper into the data to find more insights and new competitive advantages,” said Dan Jewett, Vice President of Product Management at Tableau. “They need a solution that provides them with the data they need and the analytical capabilities to deliver deeper insight. Alteryx is a helpful resource for data blending in Tableau, making visual analysis easier than ever.”
