New Forrester Report Names Collibra as a Leader in Data Governance

collibra_logoCollibra, a pioneer in creating business data authority solutions to enhance data value for the enterprise, recently announced it has been named a leader in the new report, The Forrester Wave™: Data Governance Tools, Q2 2014. The Forrester Research report says “Collibra shows the direction.”

At this moment in time, the best offering aligned with this direction [data governance 2.0] comes from a specialist vendor Collibra that understands the new needs of the market,” the report states. Earlier on in the report, Forrester states “As organizations begin to exploit the value of data for strategy and operations, they recognize that data governance has to be about helping the business realize the value potential in data. As such, stakeholders in marketing, sales, customer service and finance are becoming much more involved and accountable.”
Founded on the premise of addressing the specific needs of business stakeholders as opposed to the technical focus of traditional IT vendors, Collibra has since emerged as one of the fastest-growing players in data governance. The company is currently experiencing upwards of 200% annual revenue growth and counts major global banks, insurance, retail, healthcare and technology companies and Fortune 500 companies among its customers.
For us, this report is further proof that companies are now realizing the importance of dialing into the untapped business opportunities rooted within their data,” said Felix Van de Maele, Founder and CEO of Collibra. “To be named a leader by one of the world’s top analyst firms is an extreme honor, and, we believe, a further validation of our success as a leading Data Governance vendor.”
This Forrester Wave Report marks the second time in the past three months that Collibra has earned a top spot for its Data Governance Center offerings. In April, Collibra’s Reference Data Accelerator was prominently featured in a field report from the MDM Institute, which praised Collibra for its stewardship processes and architecture, and its relation to business stakeholders.
