In Search of the Optimal Cheeseburger

If you’ve ever spent valuable billable hours time thinking about an algorithm to seek out the optimal cheeseburger, and calculate metrics like the maximal meat-to-bun ratio, then this presentation by noted data scientist Hilary Mason at the Ignite NYC event last year is for you. Hilary, a self-admitted cheeseburger lover, found some data sets in support of the search, and considered the following feature variables: considering your current location, how far you’re willing to go for a cheeseburger, price of burger, and quality of burger. The point of the presentation is to show that the data are out there, no matter what ridiculous and frivolous question you might have in your mind.  How many unique burgers are available in your town?
